President Muhammadu Buhari has officially confirmed the appointment of Mr. Boss Gida Mustapha, to take charge of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).
Mustapha will resume with immediate effect as the new Managing Director of the agency.
Director (Press and Public Relations) in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Bolaji Adebiyi, gave the confirmation in his statement issued on Thursday evening.
He said the appointment of Mustapha, “a lawyer with extensive experience in both private and public sectors in management positions”, is for a term of four years in the first instance.
Buhari is expected to effect such leadership changes in other sectors of the economy in order to inject new blood with bright ideas into the system.
