Vigilantes repel deadly attack in Katsina, killed two bandits

Members of vigilance groups have repelled what could be described as a deadly attack near Turare community in Makera district of Katsina state.

The incident occurred on Thursday, January 30 at about 6:00 p.m according to Bakatsine, a banditry crisis analyst.

The bandits said to be loyal to the notorious bandit leader Sanusi Nabadeje launched the attack on the community, however, the vigilantes repelled the attack, forcing the bandits to flee.

In the fierce gun duel, two bandits were shot, one of whom was identified as Mai Nera.

While the other bandit succumbed to his injuries, Mai Nera managed to escape, though he sustained severe wounds.

It is believed that he may not survive before reaching the forest.
