Trucks destined for Niger stranded in Burkina Faso due to Insecurity

Tens of thousands of trucks heading to Niger are reportedly stranded in Dori, a town in Burkina Faso, due to heightened insecurity in the region.

Sources indicate that the situation has created significant logistical and economic challenges, as the transport of essential goods to Niger remains at a standstill.

The ongoing insecurity, attributed to armed groups operating in the Sahel, has made the route between Burkina Faso and Niger increasingly perilous.

Authorities are yet to announce measures to address the crisis, leaving drivers and transport companies grappling with the impasse.
