Oshoala dropped from All African Games

The Liverpool Ladies forward has been excluded from the list of players for the Super Falcons All African Games camping exercise owing to injury

Nigeria women coach Christopher Danjuma has picked 35 players for the Super Falcons’ camping exercise for the 11th All African Games billed for Congo Brazzaville.

Onome Ebi, Francisca Ordega, Halimat Ayinde, Esther Sunday and Josephine Chukwunonye have been recalled to the Nigeria side that failed to beat the Nzalang Nacional to the Rio 2016 Olympics female football event ticket.

While Asisat Oshoala has been dropped from the squad selected by acting coach Danjuma, as well as Courtney Dike, Nasarawa Amazon’s Mariam Ibrahim and Kemi Fatuyesi of Confluence Queens have been handed a surprise call-up.

All the players are to report at the Serob Legacy Hotel, Abuja on Monday, August 10 with their international passports and training kits.

Nigeria women will play hosts Congo-Brazzaville, Tanzania and Cote d’Ivoire in Group A of the Women’s football tournament of the All African Games.
