OPC members clash with suspected cultists at Osun Osogbo festival

The Osun Osogbo festival was on Friday almost marred when members of the Oodua Peoples’ Congress (OPC) clashed with some youths suspected to be cultists, who attempted to cause violence at the entrance to the groove.

It was gathered that the  youth, numbering about seven, allegedly stormed the entrance to the Osun groove to harass tourists and other people, trying to gain entry into the way leading to the shrine.

However, OPC members resisted the moves of the suspected cultists and a clash ensued between them, lasting for about 10 minutes before the suspected cultists were overpowered.
