Several trucks en route to Niger were ambushed and destroyed by militants from the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (ISGS) near the town of Dori in Burkina Faso.
The attack occurred on the evening of December 18, 2024, at the entrance to Dori, a key transit point in the Sahel region.
Local sources report that the armed group launched the assault on the convoy, targeting vehicles carrying goods and supplies bound for Niger.
The attack caused significant losses, with multiple trucks crushed and set ablaze. Casualty figures remain unclear, and no official statement has been issued regarding potential injuries or fatalities.
