A member of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos has been shot dead at the party’s local government primary elections in Surulere.

The man was allegedly shot l Sunday Aransiola (BARESI) the deputy Chairman of RTEAN (Road Transport employee Association of Nigeria Ojuelegba chapter), during a fracas that ensued before voting commenced on Saturday.
One other is in critical condition.
There are different accounts of what led to the shooting at the election venue in Surulere.
While some members said people who were not members of the party were trying to force their way into venue of the primary, others said the shooting was carried out to disenfranchise party members from exercising their rights in Surulere.
