Lagos NURTW Chairman appoints MC Oluomo’s arch enemy as Special Adviser

Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State, Mustapha Adekunle (Sego) has appointed Ganiyu Oyedepo (Koko Zaria) as one of his Special Advisers.

Oyedepo is a sworn  enemy of the National President of the union, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo.

Oyedepo, who was very close to MC Oluomo before, fell out with the National President when he (Oyedepo) pitched his tent with Sego after MC Oluomo was forced to step down as Chairman of the union in the state.

Zaria who was extremely close to Akinsanya was dubbed “Defence Minister”in the power-sharing arrangement in Oshodi .

MC Oluomo was the number one and named “President” in the fearsome area with Sulaimon prominently known by the street name Nayam as the second-in-command and credited with the position of “Vice President”.

But Zaria in a surprising twist, few days after MC Oluomo left office as State Chairman of the NURTW switched camp by siding with the new Chairman, Sego.

Since then MC Oluomo has vowed not to have anything to do with Oyedepo even after pleas from notable public figures .

Announcing his appointment on Friday during a meeting with members of the union at the union’s secretariat in Agege, Sego said Oyedepo merited the position.

He directed the Secretary of the union to issue Oyedepo his appointment letter and provide him an office space.
