The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Board, on Friday said it had transported 5, 464 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the 2015 Hajj.
The Public Relations Officer of the board, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna that the pilgrims were transported between Aug. 23 and Sept 4.
“The exercise has been smooth and successful since its commencement on Aug. 23 in Kaduna,“he said, adding that the pilgrims were moved to Saudi Arabia in 17 flights.
“Only one flight is now left to conclude the exercis. It will be delayed till next week as we await visa for some of the remaining pilgrims,“he said.
The public relation officer appealed to the remaining 246 intending pilgrims not to worry, as they would be transported once their visas were ready.
