JSC queries Oloyede over petition against Aregbesola

Justice Folahanmi Oloyede of Osun State judiciary has been queried by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

Osun State House of Assembly had last week dismissed Oloyede’s petition against Governor Rauf Aregbesola and recommended her for sanctions by the JSC.

But speaking with newsmen in Osogbo yesterday, counsel to Justice Oloyede, Mr. Lukman Ogunsetan, confirmed receipt of the query, adding that the judge was expected to respond within seven days which will lapse next week Monday.

At an Osun State High Court, sitting in Osogbo yesterday, efforts of Justice Oloyede to quash the recommendations of the State Assembly against her, failed, as court refused to hear her application.

Justice Oloyede’s counsel, Mr. Lukman Ogunsetan had on Monday filed a motion exparte supported by an affidavit of urgency, sought an order of the court to file an application for an order of Certiorari to quash the recommendations of the Osun Assembly’s Ad-hoc committee that dismissed her petition.

However, the application that was supposed to be heard by the vacation judge, did not get a mention, as Justice Adeyinka Aderibigbe after the day’s proceedings only announced that his next sitting would be next week Thursday
