Coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh today signed his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Oliseh signed the contract during his formal presentation to the media in Abuja.
Oliseh who was also presented with jersey no. 15 which he wore in his playing days with the Super Eagles told the media that he is not coming as messiah of Nigeria’s football. “I am coming as a man who is ready to serve. I am willing to give 150 percent in service if possible”, he said.
He acknowledged that gone are the days when the Nigerian team has individuals would could win match for the team hence the need for good coach and good president.
“If you don’t have good players, you need a great coach and president to compensate for what you don’t have”, he said, adding that nobody is doing Nigeria any favour playing for the country just as Nigeria has not done him any favour giving him a coaching job.
He warned that his doors will be closed to players who proved to be unserious with call up. “If you chakara(treat with levity) us, the doors will be closed”, he warned.
