Unknown gunmen on Monday killed three persons and injured two in Kofar Gwari in Kokona local government area of Nasarawa state. The incident occurs at exactly 1:30 am.
The incident happened when some members of the vigilante groups in the area were having their meeting on how to address the space of reckless killings and
kidnapping of innocent people in their area.
It was also learnt that the yet to be identified AK47 wielding gunmen invaded the town started shooting sporadically and killed three members of the vigilante group.
It was further gathered that two members of the vigilante groups who were shot at close range on their legs were taken to undisclosed hospital in the area for medical treatment.
According to an eye witness account, the AK47 wielding gunmen had been terrorizing people on their farm lands in the area.
“We cannot go to our farm any longer to harvest our crops anymore because of fear of being attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen who have been grazing on our farm land,” a resident said.
