Nasarawa State governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, will on Monday relocate to Karu local government area in Nasarawa-western Senatorial District of the state on a seven-day working visit.
As part of the working visit, he will inspect priority projects as well as map out strategies for the timely completion of selected projects within the axis.
Among the projects to be inspected are the Karu International Market, access road in Kabayi, and Angwan Hashimu as well as the upgrading of Mararaba Gurku General Hospital.
The governor, who made the decision during an inspection tour of Mararaba Orange Market bridge, also gave contractors handling the bridge one month to complete the project or risk revocation.
He directed the contractors to ensure that the bridge is put to use in the next 30 days to alleviate the sufferings of road users along that area and reduce congestion because of the deplorable condition of the road as a result of the collapsed bridge.
He stated further that he will also use the visit to ensure that the task force along Keffi-Abuja Highway is sustained to ensure sanity along the road.
Governor Al-Makura will also map out areas suitable for traders in the informal sector to decongest the busy Keffi-Abuja highway trading.
