Turji attacks mosque in Zamfara

Notorious bandit leader Bello Turji and his gang have relocated within Zamfara State following of bombardment of his camp in Fakai in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The area has been long identified as a safe haven for the bandit kingpin and his associates.

Reliable intelligence has confirmed his presence in Dajin Son Allah and Burkusuma forests, located in the eastern part of Sabon Birni Local Government Area of the state.

Reports have also emerged that injured bandits, who narrowly escaped the military’s onslaught during the operation targeting Turji’s camp, are currently receiving treatment in Mangwarorin Gebe, located in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

The Nigerian military had lately intensified its offensive against Turji,  resulting in the death of one of his sons and many of his lieutenants and fighters.

Throughout the bloodshed, Turji has managed to stay one step ahead of the Nigerian forces pursuing him.

““Take it from me, he is merely a dead man walking, as he will soon follow suit with many others that have been eliminated during the course of the year.,” Major-General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, said while briefing newsmen on the operations of the military in the year 2024 in Abuja last week

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, also expressed confidence in the Nigerian Armed Forces’ ability to eliminate Turji, describing his days as “numbered.”

“I believe Bello Turji is a matter of time, his days are numbered because I can see the commitment from the Armed Forces in terms of taking Bello Turji out,” Lawal stated during an interview on Politics Today aired on Channels Television on Tuesday.
