A 63-year-old man, Adeoye Lasisi, and a 53-year-old woman, Amoke Adeokun, on Friday, died in separate incidents in Lagos after jumping into wells.
While Lasisi plunged into a 130-foot well in Imota, near Ikorodu.while Adeokun plunged into a 120-foot in Idimu.
Lasisi had a hospital appointment on Friday as a result of an eye defect.
He woke up around 4 am on Friday and asked his wife to heat some water for him to bath. The wife eventually did so and by the time the water had boiled, she took the water to the bathroom and she went in to fetch him; that was when she started looking for him to no avail.
While carrying out the search in company with their neighbours, they found the man’s footwear and torchlight by the well located in their compound and suspected that he must be in it. But they couldn’t confirm this because it was too dark.
They placed a distress call Lagos State Fire Service, who came to remove his dead body from the well.
In the case of Adeokun , she mentally challenged.
