Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has boasted that it would sweep the July 22 council election across the 20 local government areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDA).
The is contained in a statement by its spokesperson, Joe Igbokwe.
APC said the the forthcoming LG election is “a no contest” as its candidates for both councillorship and chairmanship seats were poised for victory.
“As we prepare to have a date with history once again this Saturday, we are beating our chests because we know where we are coming from; we have a long history of commitment to service delivery in Lagos and our biggest selling point has been the massive transformation from the jungle former President (Olusegun) Obasanjo called Lagos in year 2000 to become the fifth largest economy in Africa.
“Please ignore PDP and their collaborators in Labour Party. They have nothing to offer in Lagos because Lagos is bigger than them and they cannot give what they do not have,” the statement said.
