Former presidential adviser on amnesty, Hon Kingsley Kuku,is currently undergoing a major knee surgery at the Andrews Sports, Medicine and Orthopedic Centre, Birmingham in Alabama.
According to the hospital’s management in reacting to inquiries by our correspondent in New York, the operation carried out on Kuku was successful.
The management, which spoke through Ms. Christina, an officer in charge of surgery appointments, said Kuku would be put under medical watch for up to two months at a rehabilitation centre where he would undergo therapy.
Christina added that there was need for the hospital management to put Kuku under watch for sometime to avoid a setback in his treatment.
She stressed that Kuku would be discharged if he is certified fully fit within the next eight weeks.
The confirmation from the hospital has put to rest, the rumour that Hon Kuku was on the run as a result of the invitation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recently.
