President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday embarked on a one-day trip to neighbouring Benin Republic
Buhari left the Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport around 9 am on Saturday en route Benin Republic
The major preoccupation of the visit would be the discussion on how to stop the Boko Haram insurgents from taking over the neighbouring countries.
Some presidential sources say President Buhari will also discuss bilateral issues with Benin’s President Bono Yayi.
He has paid similar visits to Chad ,Niger and Cameroon and hosted a summit of Head of States and Government of the Lake Chad Basin Commission in Abuja on June 11, 2015.
