Leaders of the aggrieved workers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday held a marathon meeting with chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), Dr. Bello Haliru Mohammed.
The Monday meeting, which involved PDP management from the directorate level, deliberated on the grave issues raised by the workers against the National Working Committee (NWC) members.
A source at the party’s National Secretariat, revealed that the meeting with the BoT Chairman which involved three former National Chairmen of the party, Prince Vincent Ogbulafor, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo and Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, will likely approve the revalidation of the workforce to weed out those that are suspected to be moles in the party.
Some of the workers were said to have been brought into the party by their godfathers who have since defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The fear in the PDP is that these people who still owe allegiance to the godfathers may be passing sensitive information and documents to their benefactors who are now in the APC.
