Governors elected on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) were, on Wednesday night, in a meeting to deliberate on the procedure for appointing ministers by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sources close to the party said the governors were to meet over rationale for the appointments.
The governors were in Abuja for the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting.
The governors in attendance at the meeting were Aminu Masari (Katsina), Simon Lalong (Plateau), Abiola Ajimobi (Oyo), Rauf Aragbesola (Osun) and Badaru Abubakar (Jigawa).
Others are Samuel Ortom (Benue), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Mohammed Abubakar (Bauchi), Bindow Jibrilla (Adamawa), Akinwunmi Ambode (Lagos), Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto) and Ibrahim Gaidam (Yobe) .
It was gathered that the governors were unhappy that names submitted by most of them for appointment were being jettisoned by President Buhari.
